Shopping Spree

Male shoppers Vs Female shoppers

“Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus”. The statement holds true in all situations and habits pertinent to day-to-day activities - in eating, laughing, driving, handling money or watching TV and, shopping is no exception.

The conventional sapience on male shoppers is they don’t like to do it, which is the reason they don’t do much of it. And, even when they buy, they rarely shop. Women always shop when they buy, and are estimated to buy nearly 85 percent of everything that is for sale.

Most verbal exchanges between men and women shopping together are more or less bad-tempered. Not leaving you to surprise, a husband often stands outside the shop and watches beautiful girls passing by. Shopping plazas and big stores already started having designated places for men where they can have snacks, drinks and sit comfortably in front of a plasma Television screen while their women shop.

A recent survey in London signals that shopping in crowded stores raises stress levels of men to the point it’s risky to their health. The stress levels for women who had brought their husbands along were much higher than those who went alone or with other female companions.
Women do have a greater kinship to what we think of as shopping-walking at a relaxed pace through stores. They take time comparing products and prices, talking to sales staff, examining merchandise. No matter whether it is shopping for everyday necessities or just for pleasure, they show a completely dedicated manner.

As shopping goes, men by comparison seem totally different. They move very faster than women through a store. Often it’s hard to get them to look at anything they hadn’t intended to buy. They usually don’t ask where things are from, or any other questions, for that matter-----they shop the way they drive.

It’s only at computer software and hardware purchasing that you see men spending time, or at stores dealing with bike/car accessories.

Can we call this as the affinity that is unique for both sexes? Who knows? I am sorry; I don’t have God’s e-mail address to check with him.

Outsourcing

It was a Saturday Morning at around 5 am, I have decided that I am going to take care of my body. The moment the thought came in my mind, I woke up and hit the road to jog. Leaving me to surprise, I started noticing more cabs rather than people on Bangalore roads in early hours.
Recapturing my memories about outsourcing made me understand the reasons for it and the dominance of this topic in US presidential elections gave me enough hints.
India emerging as the first choice for US, UK and Australian countries to outsource work not happened overnight. Can we call it the magic of dollar or the talent of Indians? Let us find out the reasons for India raiding high on outsourcing.
Western countries farm out work from their home base to other countries, largely in an effort to cut costs. Countries like US, UK and Australia started transferring technology development, customer service, financial and administrative jobs to India from mid of 90’s. It was the time when we had quite a lot of unemployed graduates who can comfortably speak and write English. The level of knowledge we posses and the amount of efforts we put really made things easy for India. Within a decade, India emerged as the leader in outsourcing sector.
Are we equipped to sustain this growth and throw stiff challenge to China which is trying too hard to take a big piece of the cake? The true said of this is not so impressive.
Recent terror attacks in Mumbai really playing in the minds of American companies who want to do safe business. Growing wages in India and poor infrastructure in companies stand out as biggest hurdles in our growth process.
So, the best possible step to stay up in the market should start from the rulers of our Country. Terrorism should be stopped or at least preventive measures needs to be taken If India is pinning its hopes on establishing as the leader in this industry by 2015.
A recent survey suggests, India controls 51 percent of the global offshore outsourcing market for software and back-office services, with revenues of US$17.2 billion. Canada is the nearest competitor with a 32 percent share; China has 4.9 percent and Eastern European countries have 4.5 percent.
To some extent, the offshore outsourcing phenomenon may be self-correcting. Though outsourcing shows no sign of fading, rising wages and rapid turnover in Indian hubs may reduce the savings American companies enjoy when they send work abroad.
Thankfully, still we are considered as back office for many American companies.
But there is a clear warning demanding us to take initiatives to stand as Leader. Right from rulers to owners of Indian companies, everyone has to tighten up their seat belts to ensure that the glory attained by us remains forever.

My favourite movie

Ashta Chemma

Want to profit by making movies? Wrap up the whole story with one item song, two action packed sequences and so called comedy track that never relates to story line. Am I sounding like a critic? No, this could be the ideal answer from many people in film circuits when asked to give tips on making a minimum guarantee movie.

But, Mohana Krishna Indraganti, who made a mark with his award winning movie “Grahanam” thinks different. His thinking reflected on screen when his second movie “Ashta Chemma” hit theaters last month. No action, no vulgarity and a big no to violence. Mohan Krishna succeeded in directing a movie that revolves around a girl’s obsession to actor Mahesh Babu.

Colors Swathi is a die hard fan of Mahesh Babu. Her desire to marry Mahesh turns out to be a dream when he married Namrata Sirodkar. Swathi, a girl from above middle class family who likes to see things’ falling in place comes to compromise. She decides to marry a guy who has the name of Mahesh and expresses her changed opinion to neighbor cum friend Srinivas. Of course, it is not a surprising decision from Swathi as he is tired seeing the heights of her crazy behavior. However, the surprise comes from Jhansi, aunt of Swathi because she pinned up her hopes heavily on finding an NRI groom for the girl. The two and half hours humors story gears up when Srinivas helps Swathi to find a handsome guy with the name Mahesh. Everything revolves around the name “Mahesh” and the twists and turns related to it bring the story to climax.

Colors of life

I remember a saying “Life is colorful make it beautiful”.
Yes, the journey from birth to death is colorful. When you are born, your parents see the colors of future in you. As you grow up they can see all the shades of colors in you. You are the color of their life.
Talking about realities of life, it’s like a rainbow with vibrant colors. In the walks of life, you start coloring it with different shades.

When your first job puts smiles on your face, I call it as Green the symbol of success. Boss fixes unexpected targets and pushes you to max…. Yes, I bet your face turns Red. Of course, your best friend cum colleague comes and shares your worries. The next day, you feel like giving a white rose to her, a symbol of friendship. What if all of sudden she leaves the job? You miss her!!!

Obviously, you see the color of black, sadness in her absence.

Anyway, you start achieving targets in job and parents get busy finding a partner for you. Finally wedding fixed, you like to wear pink. The romantic side of you comes out.

What’s more?? Children, their studies and grand children

A long sweet journey….

You can see all the colors of life……. That’s why I say it’s beautiful.
